In 2009, in response to an employee survey, 2,300 people
responded to the question 'What could Cobham do better?',
generating 120 pages of ideas. And in turn, each division produced
an action plan for 2010 to address their top three issues,
underpinned by a corporate action plan.
It's a perfect example of our approach to corporate
responsibility: by working together to draw out the most innovative
ideas from our people, together we can improve our communities and
how our products contribute to a better world. In fact, we've
established the Sir Alan Cobham Award to help recognise the
outstanding contributions that are being made every day by Cobham
employees - including in Corporate Responsibilities and
Sustainability.
So whether it's helping to support our partners with products
that contribute to a better world, like our Digital Audio Control
System used in US helicopters to support emergency medical
services, or individual teams raising money for great causes, like
Cobham Aviation Services in Durham (UK) raising money for the Great
North Air Ambulance, we believe that corporate responsibility is a
key part of day to day business throughout Cobham worldwide.
